A. S Rind was born in 1960 in Rahim Yar Khan, a town in the South of Punjab, Pakistan. He acquired his formal education in Art from the Central Institute of Arts and Crafts in Karachi. The inspirations that Rind has drawn from the rich culture and heritage of his hometown are creatively incorporated in his paintings.

With oil on canvas being his major technique, Rind’s paintings are an abstract but a meaningful play of lines and colors. His work revolves around various moods of traditional and modern women in Pakistan. He depicts different moods of a feminine spirit with commendable craftsmanship and intricacy. Use of a blend of varying colors in harmonious tones in the background is Rind’s signature style.

Qualification:   

B.A From Punjab.
4 year diploma in fine art 1988 from Central institute of Art and Craft (Arts) Council, Karachi, Pakistan.

Career

Experience:

1986 worked with different mediums.

1990 worked in realism.

1992 worked In impressionism, done some works in cubism which was exhibited in Alliance Franchise, Karachi, Pakistan.

1998 Painted some work in different techniques and mediums

2002 started calligraphic paintings with own developed typography
